Templates
Working with a pre-made template can save you a lot of time and money. Customizing a pre-made template takes a lot less time to do than designing it from scratch. The other good thing is that pre-made templates have been extensively tested and they look great - all you need to do is customize it to make it your own.
There are thousands of website templates out there to pick from - some are free (open source) and some are for sale (commercial). Buying a commercial template will typically cost less than $100 but having a designer start from scratch will cost you well over that amount.
